AVĒRO CUSTOMER CARE

JEWELLERY CARE GUIDE

AVĒRO jewellery is designed to be worn and kept over time.

Regular, gentle care will help preserve the surface of the metal, the finish of plated pieces and the natural character of stones, pearls and shell materials.

EVERYDAY CARE

• Remove jewellery before showering, swimming, exercising or sleeping.
• Avoid direct contact with perfume, hairspray, lotion, sunscreen and household cleaning products.
• Put jewellery on after skincare, fragrance and cosmetics have dried.
• Wipe each piece gently after wear.
• Store pieces separately to reduce scratching, tangling and friction.

925 STERLING SILVER

Sterling silver may naturally oxidise and darken over time when exposed to air, moisture and skin oils.

To care for sterling silver:

• Wipe gently with a soft, dry silver polishing cloth.
• Keep the jewellery dry when it is not being worn.
• Store it in a closed pouch or jewellery box.
• Avoid abrasive cleaners and rough cloths.
• Do not polish intentionally matte, brushed or oxidised areas too firmly, as this may alter the original finish.

Natural oxidation is a normal characteristic of sterling silver and can usually be softened with appropriate silver care.

GOLD-PLATED STERLING SILVER

Gold-plated surfaces require gentler care than unplated silver.

• Avoid water, perfume, alcohol-based products and strong cleaning agents.
• Do not use silver polishing cloths on plated surfaces.
• Wipe gently with a clean, soft and dry cloth.
• Store separately to reduce friction.
• Avoid repeated rubbing against hard surfaces.

The plated finish may gradually soften with regular wear. This is a natural result of contact, moisture and friction.

MOISSANITE, CRYSTAL AND NATURAL STONE

• Avoid hard impact, pressure and extreme heat.
• Wipe gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth.
• Do not soak the jewellery.
• Avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaning unless the product has been professionally assessed.
• Keep stone-set pieces separate from harder jewellery that may scratch their surfaces.

Natural inclusions and colour variations are part of the character of many stones.

MOTHER-OF-PEARL AND SHELL

Mother-of-pearl and shell are naturally delicate materials.

• Keep away from acidic substances, perfume and alcohol-based products.
• Do not soak in water.
• Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth.
• Protect the surface from sharp objects, hard impact and abrasive materials.

FRESHWATER PEARL

Pearls are softer than many gemstones and should be handled gently.

• Put pearls on after applying perfume, skincare and cosmetics.
• Wipe them softly after wear.
• Do not use chemical jewellery cleaners.
• Store pearls separately from metal jewellery and hard stones.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to water, heat and direct sunlight.

OPAL

Opal can be sensitive to sudden temperature changes, impact and prolonged dryness.

• Avoid high heat and direct sunlight for extended periods.
• Do not soak or use chemical cleaners.
• Wipe gently with a soft cloth.
• Store the piece carefully and separately.

STORAGE

Store each piece individually in a dry pouch, lined box or separate compartment.

Keep jewellery away from bathrooms, windowsills and other humid or exposed areas. Chains should be fastened before storage to help prevent tangling.
